Summary
Mashable is looking for a Regional Sales Director to manage part of our East Coast team made up of Sales Directors and Account Executives. This individual will have branded content experience and extensive knowledge of the digital landscape and Mashable product offerings. The ideal candidate is a strategic and enthusiastic leader with a proven track record of driving revenue growth. We are looking for a consultative seller with the ability to sell across emerging social platforms including Snapchat Discover. It is expected that he/she has key senior relationships with agencies and clients and a strong understanding of cross-platform journalism, branded storytelling and macro-level trends in digital media. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to lead, grow and mentor a fast paced, innovative and dynamic sales team.
Responsibilities
* Manage and mentor a team of sellers, planners and account managers * Help to develop a training plan that puts branded content and data at the center of the sell * Collaborate with other regional sales leads to establish and execute a sales territory plan that meets sales quotas * Develop, manage and execute strategic sales compensation plan * Cultivate relationships with agency and client contacts * Regularly attend sales calls with team to provide constructive feedback and create learning opportunities * Ensure sales and KPI targets are exceeded and achieved
Ideal Candidate
* 6+ years of experience managing digital ad sales team * Decisive leader and decision maker * Proven ability to manage and grow revenue targets * Dynamic, flexible, hard-working attitude * In-depth knowledge of digital media and the competitive landscape * Excellent presentation skills * Proficiency with SalesForce and social media platforms * Willing to travel * BS/BA in Advertising, Business or a related field
