Summary
Mashable is seeking a Learning & Development Manager to support our global learning and development initiatives. This position is based in our NYC headquarters and will be a part of our growing Talent team. This is a great opportunity to build on a lasting learning & development program for a dynamic digital media company.
Responsibilities
* Partner with leaders and employees to develop strong understanding of key business operations and initiatives * Develop and support comprehensive learning and training programs for onboarding employees in different practice groups * Partner with senior managers to create department specific training programs * Evaluate and analyze current and new training and development programs for their overall effectiveness * Revamp and re-launch Mashable Lunch & Learn program * Manage round table discussions and other initiatives that maintain exposure and contact between the leadership team and the general workforce * Partner with your supervisor develop and roll out a diversity and inclusion program across global offices * Research and implement a new performance management tool * Lead monthly new hire trainings on goal setting and performance review process * Develop scholarship and mobility programs * Develop, deliver and analyze both internal and external content focused on learning & development and diversity and inclusion * Find partnerships for on demand learning such as Lynda.com * Manage and maintain training budget, vendor relationships and external partner relationships * Perform other related duties as assigned
Ideal Candidate
**Must Haves** * 2-5 years experience in learning & development either as a manager or coordinator * Experience leading learning and development initiatives for a global company * Presentation skills and ability to speak in front of a large group comfortably * Driven and motivated self-starter * Ability to communicate effectively with all personality types and learning styles * Knowledge of the HR legal environment * Ability to manage both up and down **Nice to Haves** * Media or industry knowledge or experience * Experience leading diversity and inclusion initiatives
