Summary
This position will be responsible for supporting the creation of new products from initiation to implementation for JH RPS. This role would also support the ongoing evolution of existing products. The role includes the use of market research to define present and future product scope, creating specifications/business requirements, pricing, timing and launch plan for all products. This position reports to a Director of Product Management.
Responsibilities
* Participate and support the development and launch of new product features and services, as well as act as subject matter expert for existing offerings. * Leverage industry knowledge and research to improve the competitiveness of product offerings. * Participate in cross-functional teams to define project scope and document business requirements. * Utilize market research to help influence major product development decisions. * Work with functional partners to synthesize feedback from the field and prioritize the product development queue. * Evaluate industry trends, regulatory changes and competitive environment. * Partner with finance and underwriting to ensure profitable product model. * Support relationships with external vendors, and key business partners, while ensuring needs are aligned to business objectives. * Develop a leadership presence within the organization. * Assist and participate in presentations to various stakeholders and audiences as necessary (client presentations, department presentations, etc.).
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelors degree with a minimum of 5-8 years in the retirement industry. * Ability to juggle competing priorities and work under pressure to meet key deadlines. * Superior verbal and written communication skills. * Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills. * Strong financial/mathematical and analytical abilities. * Good organization skills and self-discipline. * Good computer skills (particularly Lotus Notes & MS Office software tools).
