Summary
The UX (User Experience) Designer is responsible for creating a compelling and intuitive User Experience for LifeLock’s web and mobile applications. Specifically, if the user is a Member of LifeLock, this position will be guiding their digital experience with LifeLock’s products. This role is instrumental in bringing the value of our services to life and ensuring that our members have a positive interaction with our existing products as well as new products in the future. The UX Designer will be involved at all stages of development including white boarding, ideation, state screens, flows, all the way through to final detailed specifications that programmers will implement in the applications.
Responsibilities
* Create pixel-accurate design guides that include flows, state-screens, and implementation instructions such that coders can create the experience with little question regarding the intended functionality. * Collaborate with and develop mutual respect and trust with design, product management, content strategy, engineering and marketing. * Be strategic in your approach to problem solving with a lighthouse vision and propose scaled down effort/designs based on project needs. You can easily build scalable designs and propose frameworks that make future growth of products more efficient. * Create flow charts for the products you own including documenting use cases. You know the product. * Incorporate analytics into design decision making and you know the analytics of flows you own. You also don’t hesitate to ask for analytics if they are missing. * Conduct competitive and benchmark analysis for your projects. * Work with content contractors to create a consistent voice/tone for your products that are user focused. You also ensure that all pages are reviewed by a content specialist. * Collaborate with other designers and you’re open to feedback. You know that the objective is to arrive at the best possible solution. * Challenge stakeholders if you believe UX is being compromised. The Customer experience is essential. * Recommend user testing where appropriate for your project. * Be intimately familiar with your product – all use cases, pain points in the flow, top complaints * Stay up to date on design trends and literature, and you are excited to share this with your design teams. You are a design evangelist for your group and the user’s voice. * Learn new prototyping tools that makes communicating designs easier. * Make requests to attend UX conference if it advances your skill set. * Be detail oriented. You know how to provide context before presenting.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree in a design-related field (for example: HCI, interaction, industrial or graphic design) required * Master’s degree preferred * Minimum 2 years’ experience as a professional UX Designer * Deep knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop * Experience designing across multiple device types and contexts (desktop, mobile, etc.) * Knowledge of adaptive design strategies and execution * Solid graphics skills
