Business Technology Lead

Libbey, Inc is the leading producer of glass tableware products in the Western Hemisphere and one of the largest glass tableware manufacturers in the world. It designs and markets an extensive line of high-quality glass tableware, ceramic dinnerware, metal flatware, hollowware and serveware items to a broad group of customers in the foodservice, retail, and business-to-business markets in over 100 countries.

The Business Technology Lead is a key position within the Global Information Technology (IT) organization and serves as the primary contact and liaison with IT customers to create and/or refine key processes, systems, and technology-related tools. The Business Technology Lead will work closely with the IT Management team and key IT customers in the business, including functional managers, regional leadership, and senior executives.

- Understand current and future business strategies, initiatives, policies, procedures, processes, systems, data, metrics, and needs - Retain fresh expertise/acumen to ensure ongoing respect, relevance and active teamwork with business customers in key sales, marketing, human resources, and/or finance business functions - Research and develop viable use and business cases for the creation and deployment of new and/or refined technology-related tools and business solutions as they relate to the customer's functional organization - Successful adaptation of current technology, solution approaches, and trends to benefit Libbey's business performance is necessary to establish sponsors and stakeholders, and to secure budget allocations from IT and the business - Successfully develop, implement, manage, and monitor project plans which provide for the development of end user and technical training, completing risk assessment, data migration, ensuring compliance with control/regulatory requirements, implementing contract and change management, and establishing success metrics and methods to measure effectiveness - Serve as a focal point, as needed, for the initiation, direction, and escalation of IT service requests pertaining to the continuing operation and development/refinement of business solutions - In concert with IT management, set direction, coach and lead information technology process designs, implementation, and compliance monitoring to ensure successful project/initiative delivery and the ongoing provision of services to IT business customers

- Business acumen and business/system process knowledge in your relevant area, as demonstrated by combined education and experience (i.e. direct business experience in sales/marketing, human resources/payroll, ERP, and/or finance/accounting) -Understands technology and how to beneficially apply it to new and existing business processes - Excellent communication and presentation (verbal and written) skills with the ability to relate well to associates throughout all levels of the organization - Excellent conflict resolution skills with the ability to read situations quickly and practice focused listening to settle disputes equitably - Ability to lead and influence at all levels and across the organization - Strategically agile with the ability to anticipate future consequences and trends while contributing to competitive organizational framework - Ability to set goals, plan, marshal resources, keep people focused, effectively delegate, and measure progress - Provides honest analysis and uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions - Travel for project work, training or other business related purposes may be required, including possible International travel. - Estimate dependent upon business customer base **Requirements:** - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Management, Finance/Accounting, or a related discipline - PMP and applicable business certifications (i.e., CPA, CPIM, CPM, etc.) are preferred - Minimum of 5-7 years business and/or technical experience with demonstrated information technology-related project roles
