Summary
The ideal System Administrator will be professional, self-motivated, a creative problem solver, a good team player, have excellent customer support skills and be capable of working in a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision. The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills. The role will provide administration and support for the technology infrastructure (Google Apps, desktops, network, printers), including troubleshooting and resolving issues, participation in ongoing strategic initiatives, providing technology training and guidance for office-based and remote users, and assisting with technology implementations to support the needs of the business.
Responsibilities
* Serve as project lead on various system upgrades and maintenance * Perform hands-on technical upgrades and deployments * Analyze business and IT processes, technologies, and applications * Develop standards for hardware, operating system, and applications for end-user systems * Document and train others on IT systems and best practice procedures * Implementation and support for critical line-of business applications * Perform audit to ensure all laptops have encryption and security functions enabled * Administration and support of antivirus software * Research new technologies and make recommendations * On board new hires from setting up accounts/equipment to hand-off * Installation, configuration and maintenance of laptops, network devices, printers, VOIP phone system, and other office equipment * Provide general helpdesk/desktop and AV support * Update and maintain ticket tracking system * Track hardware/software inventory * Coordinate with external vendors to get equipment serviced * Install and repair hardware/software on desktops and laptops * Provide support and assistance to System Administration
Ideal Candidate
* BS Degree in Computer Science or similar technical field * At least 5+ years of experience providing IT troubleshooting support * Advance knowledge of Google Apps, Windows 7/8/10, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Office Suite * Basic knowledge in server computing * Self-starter, able to jump in and operate with minimal guidance * Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple projects and maintain deadlines * Excellent communication and customer service skills * Experience in a bank or a company managing sensitive data; fast-pace start-up environment is a plus * Familiarity with AirWatch and Zendesk preferred * Ability to travel occasionally
