Senior Staff Accountant

The person will directly report and support Controller and will be responsible for a variable range of accounting and finance duties with the opportunity to develop processes and have input into shaping the department.
- Perform month end close activities including journal entries, roll forwards and account reconciliations
- Analyze and calculate adjustments for accruals and deferred revenue
- Prepare and maintain monthly and Quarterly schedules
- Review inventory processes and analyze variances
- Assist in management of fixed asset life cycle by project beginning from CER, capitalization, and fixed asset inventory to disposals
- Track, monitor and report capital spend by project into Fixed Asset system
- Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions to maintain data integrity in General Ledger
- Provide support to all departments with queries and reports with accurate data as it relates to on-time delivery, cost of quality, and labor hours
- Assist in the processing of payroll, including the review and analysis of hours, and the recording of general ledger transactions
- Perform ad-hoc analysis , lead special projects, and Contribute to the implementation of new ERP system
- Maintain adequate and appropriate procedural documentations to assist with financial and SOX audits and improve current accounting practices
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting discipline, or combination of training, experience and education.
- Minimum of 2 years accounting experience, experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, and cost control principles including GAAP
- Strong IT aptitude with a major ERP, advanced Microsoft Excel, and query skills to mine data
- Knowledge of SOX regulations and the ability to analyze financial data.
- Experience with all aspects of accounting, including AR, AP, Inventory and General Ledger reconciliation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
