Summary
Market development is a critical aspect of Kinnser’s top of funnel marketing activities, and Kinnser is dedicated to investing in all aspects of generating top-of-funnel recognition. The Market Development Representative's primary role will be to prospect new opportunities while partnering with account executives in identifying and targeting cold sales leads and converting them to warm leads. The Market Development Representative will assist account executives in preparing leads for conferences, Kinnser-sponsored events and other sales and marketing efforts. This person will be responsible for uncovering the typical BANT (Budget, Authority, Needs, Timeline) criteria in regards to lead generation while also guiding potential clients and leads through the sales process. The role will report to the Inside Sales Director.
Responsibilities
As a Market Development Representative, you’ll identify and contact registered attendees of Kinnser-sponsored events to schedule demos. You’ll also contact non-attendees to set up private demos with an account executive. We participate in several events throughout the year. These events are important venues for us to communicate with our potential customers. You’ll assist when needed in calling registered attendants of conferences and industry events and gather more information about them as well as invite them to Kinnser-sponsored events. Conducting research on pre-qualified and non-qualified web leads, incoming sales calls, and referral program leads will help us prioritize the right leads. When needed, you’ll provide software solution advice to pre-qualified and non-qualified leads and obtain more information about them. We run regional promotions on occasion, helping account executives manage and communicate these promotions will be important. A sales mentality is important, up-selling additional products and services to our customer base is a component of your work.
Ideal Candidate
It would be great if you had a 4-year degree, but we’ll take the equivalent experience too. Overall, we’d like a couple years of previous lead generation, or general sales experience. We track our sales pipeline using Salesforce.com; experience with this tool is highly desired. Goal focused, and team-oriented are traits proven to have success here. Love talking on the phone is a plus.
