Summary
The Financial Product Specialist works with clients as an expert in the intersection of financial questions and the Kinnser software. This person helps customers calculate revenue, understand billing questions, and create various financial reports within the Kinnser Billing Manager application. This consists of everything from working with reporting with Kinnser to creating financials in Excel. This role is a customer-facing role, but is also an internally facing role as an expert in our billing product. This person can expect to be involved in both internal and external training sessions, as well as the occasional travel to a customer’s site.
Responsibilities
The Financial Product Specialist receives escalations from Technical Support, Sales and Account Management regarding customers that need assistance with the financial and billing aspects of their Kinnser system. Then, working with the client directly, resolve workflow issues and reporting issues. Report software bugs internally, and act as a customer advocate around the prioritization of said bugs. **Some of the specific duties include:** * Calculating client’s monthly revenue from Excel downloads from multiple systems, including reconciling any overlapping entries. * Documenting how data flows through the software. * Troubleshooting with clients, researching their issues and being a liaison for them to other departments. * Training clients on use of the Kinnser Billing Manager. Additionally, the Financial Product Specialist will work with Sales in a pre-sales capacity, answering questions on the phone or in person, as required by the team. Attend industry conferences to stay familiar with the specific challenges facing billers and accountants in the home health, hospice and home care spaces.
Ideal Candidate
The successful Financial Product Specialist candidate is a self-motivated individual with a finance and accounting background, as one will need to understand how to recognize revenue, how to close monthly books, how to account for cash receipts and how to manage these processes from inside a financial operating system. The role requires proficiency in Excel, especially with regards to pivot tables and vlookups. Some specific requirements include: * Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Word * Intermediate to expert understanding of Microsoft Excel * 2-3 years experience with phone interactions with customers * Comfort level with presentations to groups of 5-50 * 5+ years accounting experience, including being involved with monthly closings, journal entries, and revenue recognition on an accrual basis * Experience with accounting in home healthcare agencies is a plus This person must also be passionate about helping customers be successful.
