Accounts Payable Specialist

Vaco is seeking a strong Accounts Payable Specialist (A/P Specialist) for our clien. This is a long term open ended accounting position, paying up to $25 per hour during the contracted period. This opportunity is with a Top-10 U.S. auto-finance company. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will compile data, compute fees and charges, and prepare invoices for billing purposes in a fast paced environment.

* Process accounts payable invoices, check requests and employee expense reimbursement according to company policies and guidelines. Print, match and distribute checks. Proactive research, investigate and resolve accounts payable issues * Set up and maintain vendor records in the accounts payable system. Assist in Form 1099 processing * Responsible for filing invoices, check requests and journal entries. Maintain record retention spreadsheet and coordinate the transfer of storage boxes to company storage * Participate in month-end close process: accrue operating expense accounts and reconciling assigned GL accounts. Perform all other duties as assigned

* 3+yrs full cycle Accounts Payable experience required and experience in a high-volume, paperless workflow environment preferred. * MS Outlook, Word and Excel skills at an intermediate level or better. * Excel skills include Macros, Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, etc. * Working knowledge of PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP or JD Edwards
