Summary
As a Digital Project Manager, you will seamlessly blend your communication and project management skills (with the client, partner agencies and internal team members). On the client side, you will collaborate, strategize, counsel and negotiate with client stakeholders and various partner agencies. You will be expected to manage the on-time and on-budget completion of successful, digital-related projects for large clients. You will be required to hold a deep and detailed understanding of all project elements (end to end). Internally, you will be held accountable for scope and profitability of the projects you are assigned. You will demonstrate proactive attention to detail and provide a collaborative, JPL-branded client experience that culminates with efficient, results-oriented solutions.
Responsibilities
* Manage the complete web development production life cycle for projects ranging from small web sites to complex large web sites. * Identify key deliverables, create timelines and assign responsibilities. * Schedule and lead project meetings, clearly communicating agenda and results of meetings to all participants. * Manage partner agency communication and coordination. * Track and report on progress of project against project critical path. Identify issues or actions required in order to insure on time, under budget delivery of projects. * Clearly communicate to management and the client issues that may affect scope, budget or timeliness of delivery for projects. * Set and communicate priorities to project team. * Be available for local travel to client-site, project meetings 1 day a week, or as required. * Develop an in-depth knowledge of key account strategy and operations including organizational structure, key decision makers, goals, initiatives and go-to contacts at partner agencies. * Develop an in-depth knowledge, working with key senior account leadership, of the communication style required for key accounts. This includes formats for communications including emails, reports, contracts, proposals and invoices. It also includes standards such as logo usage, overall branding and lexicon.
Ideal Candidate
* Degree in marketing, communications or related field of study. * 5+ years experience managing digital development projects through the entire project lifecycle, including planning, reporting, budgeting, implementation, deployment and maintenance. * Experience setting and communicating priorities to project teams, while managing multiple, fast-paced projects simultaneously. * Proven project leadership skills and the ability to motivate multi-disciplinary teams. * Client-centric work ethic and ability to foster a sense of teamwork among project team members and the client, as well as agency partners. * Experience balancing the client’s goals, objectives, opportunities, and challenges while maintaining JPL’s best interests. * Must possess excellent communication skills and be able to clearly communicate project goals to all members of the project team. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
