Summary
Are you a passionate and enthusiastic events professional looking for a new challenge? Deloitte Consulting LLP has an opening for a Event Manager to join the alliance marketing team.This position will include the management of two junior event specialist.
Responsibilities
* Manage tradeshow and related activities for alliance events: Booth design and hosting, roundtables, meetings, receptions * Work with Strategic Marketing Planners to shape the event strategy that will promote our alliance technology solutions and the Deloitte brand. * Engage with Deloitte event teams outside of alliances to create cross-over opportunities at industry events * Execute events that are interactive and allow alliance leaders to build relationships with clients and technology partners * Help with review and submission of speaking agreements for Deloitte-led speaking sessions * Build and manage tradeshow plans, identify event objectives and manage event budgets * Manage contract negotiations and sponsorship contract approvals * Manage multiple vendors * Create and manage the distribution of pre and post show event communications * Work with creative team to develop booth properties, banners and onsite signage and collateral * Provide onsite event management in coordination with event specialists: booth set-up, booth staffing, reception set-up, attendee registration
Ideal Candidate
* A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field * 10+ years of experience in meeting or event coordination * Ability to manage multiple events and heavy workloads during peak tradeshow seasons * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Independent worker, self-starter who excels at completing tasks and meeting deadlines * Ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously with demonstrable experience in consistently delivering high quality results * Leadership skills to effectively manage a team and develop team member’s skills and professional advancement **Preferred** * Experience working with a team in a virtual mode with remote resources
