Summary
The Senior Manager of Tax Reporting is responsible for managing the global tax provision process, the quarterly and year-end provisions, and continue improvement of the provision process. In this position, the Senior Manager will coordinate and manage foreign tax packages, the global provision calculations, valuation allowance analysis, uncertain tax positions, APB 23 analysis, and development of the annual effective tax rate. Additional responsibilities will include involvement in the tax accounting calculations and impacts of acquisitions, divestitures and reorganizations.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and review the quarterly and annual global provision calculations and disclosures required for SEC reporting (10Q, 10K, etc.) * Manage the distribution and review of foreign tax packages for provision to return and annual provision calculations. * Prepare and review the quarterly global valuation allowance analysis, inventory of uncertain tax positions, APB 23 assertions, and other discrete adjustments. * Manage and review the foreign inclusion and foreign flow-thru entities included in the U.S. tax provision and return. * Review of monthly and annual income tax provision summaries, account reconciliations, and deferred tax analysis. * Assist in the review of specific tax adjustments, including maintenance of fixed assets and associated depreciation and gain/loss; intangibles amortization; R&D credit; section 199 deduction; LIFO and UNICAP; section 162(m) disallowance; equity compensation; and global pension accounting. * Research and monitor issues and changes in accounting for income taxes. * Remain informed with respect to tax law developments and their impact on the Company. * Prepare and review purchase accounting and opening balance sheet calculations on acquisitions and gain/loss calculations on dispositions.
Ideal Candidate
* 8+ years Big 4 and/or combination US-based multinational corporate tax experience * Bachelors Degree in Accounting required, MST, MAcc, and/or CPA preferred * Strong tax accounting, tax compliance, and accounting expertise * Strong analytical, verbal and written communication, people, and organizational skills * Experience working in SAP and Hyperion environments a plus * Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional teams * Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects, effectively prioritize, manage others, meet external deadlines, and critical thinker * Highly motivated, assertive, creative, articulate, results oriented * Flexible and able to operate in fast paced, changing environment * Ability to grow and change with the organization
