International Paper (India) Private Limited is a leading manufacturer of pulp and paper products and caters to both domestic and foreign markets. International Paper (India) Private Limited produces writing, printing and copier papers at its two manufacturing units in Andhra Pradesh, which have a total paper production capacity of 240,000 metric tons per year.
Summary
We currently have an opening for a Customer Service Representative at Oregon Corrugated Complex. The position will sit in Portland, OR, but will support the Beaverton, OR and Portland, OR facilities. These facilities manufacture corrugated packaging products for local and national customers. The Customer Service Representative is responsible for supporting both internal and external customers. Also, they are accountable for timely and accurate communication of information including customer requests, item specification, and order management. This position requires people skills, following processes, and utilizing systems while functioning within a team-based environment.
Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains relationships with internal and external customers and vendors. - Receives, processes, and monitors the progress of customer’s orders placed by the Sales Dept. or directly from the customer - Professionally responds to customer inquiries. - Handles multiple accounts ranging from small to large with varying degrees of complexity. - Coordinates and supports information flow internally and externally. - Builds and develops customer relations, while continuously expanding knowledge by learning product and service offerings, design, operations and machine capabilities. - Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure, by using priority management skills. - Works in a team environment to meet business objectives and goals. - Demonstrates a financial aptitude with the ability to work with numbers accurately including prices and costs. - Will need to maintain excellent records with attention to detail. - Investigates and resolves customer complaints by using problem solving techniques and judgment. - Communicates any issues or problems that may arise that would jeopardize the plant’s ability to meet the customer’s need. - Uses basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and specific business applications. - Works with and supports the sales functions in the facility in order to achieve overall customer satisfaction.
Ideal Candidate
* Five years of customer relations experience preferably 1+ year’s industry specific customer relations experience. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. * Strong interpersonal skills are strongly preferred. * Experience with SAP, Witron, Kiwi, data inquiry and Microsoft Office Suite is strongly preferred. * Must be able to handle telephone conversations in a professional manner, and handle pressure during busy and difficult circumstances. * Must be enthusiastic, customer-focused, self-motivated and able to work independently. * Demonstrated track record of excellent people skills and desire to work with team members to accomplish business and customer objectives.
