Summary

Leggett & Platt, Inc., an S&P 500 company, is seeking a driven regional Sales Representative in our Bedding division. This exceptionally stable sales position will be responsible for maintaining strong customer relationships and sales of bedding related components for a territory including North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Northern Wisconsin and Iowa and will be based out of our St. Paul, MN facility.

Responsibilities
  • Develop long-term relationships with existing and potential customers and deliver superior customer service
  • Increase revenue by cultivating relationships with customers and driving sales goals
  • Manage territory accounts (sales calls, new product introductions and monitoring product quality)
  • Collaboration with management on sales strategies and pricing proposals
Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-oriented discipline
  • 1-2 years of experience in Sales, with knowledge of the Bedding Industry considered as an added advantage
  • An understanding of manufacturing processes and customer/supplier relationship principles

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively with a wide range of people
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proficient in basic computer skills to include Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and business skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and increase sales goals Up to 40% overnight travel required
