Summary
IntelliDyne, LLC is seeking a Mid-Level Network Security Engineer for our client's Network Operations Center. The Security Engineer should be proficient in all DISA and DoD Regulations governing the network and must be able to provide guidance and interpretation of all directives and information systems policies. The Security Engineer will work directly with the Network Operations team to assist with configuration and implementation of security related controls and enforcing security policies thus ensuring compliance standards are met. The Security Engineer will also manage network security devices such as perimeter firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN concentrators.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the overall security posture of the network * Work with network team to Configure, harden, & install Cisco routers, switches, and ASAs * Secure network by enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access. * Manage multiple perimeter firewalls to include application level firewalls * Interpret Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and apply them to appropriate network devices * Review network device configuration files and settings for STIG compliancy * Manage McAfee NIDS/NIPS devices * Manage IPSEC VPNs between multiple sites * Coordinate and provide guidance to technical POCs on desktop, network, and server hardening * Analyze events and logs using security event management tools * Provide reporting metrics to management to assist with policy and direction * Ensure compliance with Communications Tasking Orders (CTO) and Warning Orders (WARNORDS) issued by US Cyber Command * Responsible for identifying, reporting, investigating and responding to security breaches and network incidents * Assist with incident response, certification and accreditation activities (including documentation, scanning, mitigation activities, and identification of false positives), and software risk reviews * Monitor, report, advise and design systems to enhance or to increase the security level of the environment and support the client's mission.
Ideal Candidate
* 3-5 years of experience working with: Cisco Routers, switches, and ASAs, Network Administration, and TCP/IP * 2-3 years of experience working with: Systems security, Network security, Firewalls, IDS / IPS, anti-virus products, IA documentation * Knowledge of network routing and security protocols and implementations: TCP/IP, SSL, IPSEC VPN, SSL VPN, and VLANs * Active DoD Secret Clearance * Minimum DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II requirements (Security+/CASP) * Ability to deal with changing priorities and multi-task several projects * Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills * Bachelor's degree in related field or 8 years of overall IT Security experience * CCNA, CEH, CISSP * Experience with Palo Alto firewalls running PAN-OS 6.0 or higher * Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls in Multi-VSYS and multi Vrouter configuration * Experience with Network Access Control & 802.1x security * Experience with McAfee NIDS/NIPS devices * In depth knowledge of STIGs * Experience with Communications Tasking Orders (CTO) and Warning Orders (WARNORDS) issued by US Cyber Command.
