Summary
Engility is seeking a Network Operations Security Engineer. Duties will include assisting the Network Lead in providing top level technical expertise for all phases of analysis, design, development, implementation, and support of complex systems, tools and applications in support of network security engineering processes and automation.
Responsibilities
* The Network Operations Security Engineer is expected to evaluate various technical solutions, make recommendations, and assist with the development and implementation of technologies that support network security processes; change, incident response, and the release engineering functions, to include implementing network security policies in line with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) guidelines and industry standard best practices. * The Network Operations Security is expected to be a fast learner, high motivated, and adaptable person. Strong interpersonal skills, documentation and reporting abilities are also a must.
Ideal Candidate
* Interim Secret Clearance * The ability to deploy, manage and maintain firewalls, SSL VPN appliances, and IDS/IPS network security solutions with regard to Cisco network devices such as ASA firewalls, IPS/IDS, and VPN solutions. * Monitor firewall logs, intrusion detection logs, and network traffic for unusual or suspicious activity, interpret and make recommendations for resolution * Represent the Infrastructure team and be the point of contact for all Infosec driven projects and initiatives * Evaluate new security solutions and technologies * Identify potential threats and risks and make recommendations to remediate these concerns * Generate and brief security related reports and presentations * Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Security and Certified Ethical Hacker * 3+ years as a Network Security Engineer or related field * Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Security * Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or related * Experience with VMware is desired as well * Active Secret Clearance
