Summary
As a part of the Business Development team at Hudl, you will be responsible for helping drive Hudl’s growth through partnerships, product, and new business initiatives across the organisation. This role will work closely with Hudl’s Community Tribe and initially focus on the Hudl Select product line. The Community Tribe is focused on building the world’s greatest sports community.
Responsibilities
* Work in collaboration with Hudl management to develop targeted strategies for partnerships across a broad ecosystem of partners * Build warm, authentic, and impactful relationships with both internal teams and external partners * Prospect partners, develop collaborative partnership structures, negotiate, close and manage ongoing partnerships * Evaluate and triage inbound prospects * Support Hudl’s Product Team to source and license key content, technology, or services to improve Hudl’s product experience, help build new features, and drive revenue * Research, evaluate, develop and plan new global business initiatives * This role will report directly to John Wirtz (CPO and Hudl Co-Founder)
Ideal Candidate
* You are entrepreneurial, self-directed, and comfortable working in ambiguous and dynamic environments * You are results oriented * You are a creative thinker, can identify mutual opportunities across many different kinds of businesses, and have strong problem solving skills * You are comfortable working across product, marketing and engineering and being part of a cross-functional teams * You are highly-organized, capable of managing multiple projects at once and prioritizing among many opportunities, across different geographic regions. * You have excellent written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills * You are strategic and capable of driving stakeholders to consensus on important issues * You should have an affinity for the fast-paced, changing environment of a start-up, a sense of humour and a unique personality (and be interested in finding a company with one too). **Your Background** * 5+ years in business development, corporate development, management consulting. * MBA preferred, but not essential * Demonstrated track record of working on impactful and successful partnerships * Helped develop and launch a new products * Demonstrate a clear record of identifying, and reaching targeted customer profiles * Significant experience in industry and business research and analysis * Negotiating skills and experience * Knowledge or experience in consumer internet, mobile, apps or media (sports marketing is a plus)
