Summary
Assists with the data mining, report development, and financial analysis used to service the mortgage and condo portfolio of Capital Management. Responsible for managing the complex monthly and annual billing processes for each of the different portfolios. Works independently and must be extremely analytical and precise. Should be able to identify problems and formulate alternative solutions to these problems. Exercises independent judgment and discretion in carrying out assigned duties. Performs financial analysis and interacts with operational personnel on financial and accounting matters. Experience in database applications including mining, data import, table creation, query creation and macros. Should be able to learn quickly and perform at a fast pace.
Responsibilities
* Managing the complex monthly and annual billing processes * Create reports based off of billing and collection data * Develop analyses, trends, and forecasts * Administer and complete special projects as requested * Build and maintain databases to perform ad-hoc requests by management. * Establish standard operating procedures to improve internal controls * Work closely with outside vendors to produce communication materials, such as statements and letters, to send out to customers on a monthly basis. * Provide advice and technical assistance with analysis on collection efforts and campaigns. * Seek new ways to improve efficiency and increase profits
Ideal Candidate
* Minimum of 2 years prior financial analyst experience. * PC knowledge; includes spreadsheet and database software. * Excellent problem solving skills and multi-tasking abilities. * Good organizational skills with attention to detail. * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and supervisors. * Ability of handling multiple projects simultaneously. * Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. * Carries out any reasonable request by management of which the employee is capable of performing. **Education and/or Experience:** * Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration with prior accounting / finance experience required.
