Summary
National Real Estate company located on East Coast looking for an Executive Vice President of Leasing who will be responsible for managing and overseeing the leasing of over 7 million square feet of multi-tenanted office, retail, and medical buildings on a national platform. The position reports to the CEO of the company and is responsible for overall leasing platform results, key relationships, capital projects, and market specific knowledge. Must be open to relocation. This includes planning, implementing and coordinating the Company’s in house and third-party objectives in multiple markets with a focus on maximizing profitability of the properties through increasing occupancy and rents. Position will also assist in asset management, acquisitions and dispositions underwriting and execution; including planning, implementing, and coordinating the Company’s third-party leasing activities.
Responsibilities
* Develop building specific marketing and leasing strategies and recommend approvals. * Make recommendations of building improvements designed to supplement the leasing process. * Ensure company and property visibility with local brokerage and prospect communities to maximize property exposure to the marketplace. * Understand and stay current on comparable properties, their pricing and competitive positions, to maximize occupancy and financial performance of company properties relative to the competition. * Establish appropriate property rental rates and leasing costs (TI’s and commissions) and continually evaluate leasing and pricing performance against expectations. * Prepare and review with the CEO and senior executives weekly leasing status and “pipeline” reports, as required. * Ensure incoming leasing inquiries and broker calls are being responded to by third parties. * Ensure Third Parties are updating and maintaining Weekly Leasing Activity and prospect tracking reports. * Develop and implement broker incentives to drive occupancy.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree in real estate, business administration, or related field. * Minimum of 10 years of Property Leasing and Marketing experience with national recognized brokerage or Real Estate Company is required. * Extremely well organized and able to meet time sensitive deadlines. * Excellent written and oral communication skills. * Strong people management, leadership experience, and direct managerial experience. * Must have strong negotiation and analytical skills * Travel required – over 50%
