Summary
The internal audit team at Keurig Green Mountain, Inc. (“Keurig”) functions as a consulting role which oversees compliance and partners with various functional areas to identify opportunities to add value to the business. Internal auditors work closely with business leaders to provide impartial assessments of business risks and processes. A successful Keurig internal audit candidate thrives in a dynamic atmosphere and is able to synthesize information to form and report a clear point of view. The Internal Auditor II role is expected to work independently to assist with planning, executing and reporting audit results. It provides the opportunity to get a top down view of the company and broadly understand many aspects of the business. The role will work closely with members of the management group and with outside agencies as required. Some examples of projects an Internal Auditor II will be responsible for are: * Performing interviews and sample based substantive testing to validate processes and controls are operating as designed * Collaborating with the team to perform research around audit topics and assisting with developing the planned approach * Developing relationships with various managers around the business to coordinate audit requests and timelines Strong written and oral communication skills are necessary for preparing audit documentation. An Internal Auditor II should have good project management skills and be able to communicate roadblocks to meeting their deadlines.
Responsibilities
* Understand the strategic objectives of the group and participate in the development of the team * Plan and execute audit procedures to assess the sufficiency of the design and operating effectiveness of controls within the organization * Prepare effective documentation based on standards set by the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board * Present the results of work performed to internal audit management in a clear and concise manner * Build and maintain relationships with people within the organization * Raise issues or concerns on a timely basis * Maintain open communication with other members of the internal audit group * Organize and prioritize deliverables in line with group milestone dates * Anticipate downtime and work with internal audit management to prioritize tasks * Work with interns to assist with the completion of tasks * Attend training classes and conferences to further development as well as prepare training materials to share knowledge within the group * Perform all other duties as assigned * Supervisoryresponsibilities: There are no formal supervisory responsibilities
Ideal Candidate
**Education/Experience:** * Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required * 1 to 5 years of relevant experience in an accounting firm or internal audit department is required * Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Chartered Accountant (CA) and/or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred **Technical Skills:** * Proficiency with software applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required * Familiarity with auditing techniques including sampling and documentation requirements is required * Experience with SAP is preferred **Required Competencies and Aptitudes:** * Self-motivated positive team player * Excellent English written and oral communication skills * Ability to positively and comfortably handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with focused attention to detail * Works productively in a decentralized team environment * Strong analytical and problem solving skills * Good customer service skills * Can handle confidential financial information appropriately * Capacity for occasional travel (approximately 5%) * Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including overtime * Gets along with others, is punctual, and follows instructions * Ability to follow Keurig Green Mountain policies and procedures as well as our operating principles
