Summary
This is a contract position and is part of the Enbridge Natural Gas Liquids Team. The primary focus is to prepare and compile various exhibits and analysis for the monthly earnings review meeting with senior management. Additional responsibilities include assisting with the preparation of the quarterly and annual Form 6s.
Responsibilities
- Prepare general ledger entries on a monthly basis as they pertain to revenue, expense and balance sheet. - Identify and analyze key drivers for financial statement variances for various Liquids Pipeline companies. - Prepare revenue related entries in accordance with US GAAP revenue recognition/regulatory accounting pronouncements. - Prepare management reports, analysis, and reporting related to the Enbridge Energy set of companies. - Prepare and submit FERC Form 6’s. - Maintain knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and CFRs (FERC). - Assist in documenting the key commercial terms of any new Transportation Service Agreement or LLC agreements. - Prepare and compile various exhibits and analysis for the monthly earnings review meeting with senior management. - Assist with the preparation of the quarterly and annual Form 6’s.
Ideal Candidate
- Four-year University degree in Accounting or Finance required - Five (5) years of accounting experience required. CPA Preferred. - Public accounting experience and/or energy industry experience highly desirable. - Familiar with USGAAP revenue recognition pronouncement - Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP. Knowledge of FERC CFRs a plus. - Strong computer, analytical and writing skills, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal and written communication. - Oracle experience a plus.
