Basic Purpose: The Marketing Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing and reporting insights and information. This role will work closely with members of marketing, account management, sales, finance and a variety of other functions within the business. The key output of this position will include, but will not be limited to, a series of dynamic, ongoing, metric-based reports and presentations for our key clients. While some tasks and projects will be routine in nature, many will be ad hoc. The candidate must be flexible, creative, detail-driven, able to work both independently and under direction, and must also be able to successfully prioritize their efforts to meet tight deadlines. This position offers a challenging work environment that will stretch and develop analytical, research, problem solving and communication skills.
Responsibilities
**Duties and Responsibilities:** * Responsible for pulling, managing and organizing large amounts of data and to consolidate information, insights, and conclusions into reports and presentations for key clients. 2. Provide consultative support to account management, sales, marketing, customer support and finance to improve the quality, interpretation and delivery of customer metrics. 3. Demonstrate ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and to produce required deliverables by the established deadlines and with the appropriate level of detail, accuracy and quality control. 4. Support marketing and the business with various ad-hoc information and presentation requests. 5. Will be required to pull, manage and organize large amounts of data and to consolidate information, insights, and conclusions. 6. Ability to communicate effectively. 7. Strong, consistent attention to detail is critical. 8. Ability to identify and investigate patterns and irregularities in data. 9. Constantly promote a positive work environment and collaborate with cross-functional team members to support the business. 10. Must be inquisitive, able and willing to ask clarifying questions. 11. Perform appropriate review and analysis of data to ensure accuracy. 12. Partner with key inputs to ensure that content is accurate, appropriate to the audience, and well-delivered. 13. This position will have the opportunity to join key client meetings as needed to gain and share insights. **Supervision Exercised:** * N/A
Ideal Candidate
**Education Preferred:** * Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or marketing. **Work Experience:** * While work experience in finance, business or marketing is preferred, applicants with strong internships and relevant course work will also be considered. **Physical and Mental:** * Able to sit or stand for long periods. **Other:** * Demonstrated excellence in utilizing the Microsoft Office suite of products, particularly Excel, Power Point and Word. Experience with Access is preferred. * Exceptional analytical / financial skills are critical. * Excellent analytical, time management and organizational skills. Must be able to prioritize multiple simultaneous projects, while ensuring that deadlines are met. * Experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system like PeopleSoft, Oracle, or SAP. * As a member of the marketing team, the expectation is that the candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to creatively solve complex problems, a solid understanding of look and feel, excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, and strong attention to detail. * A self-directed, self-motivated, deadline-oriented individual will excel in this role. * Occasional travel – up to 20% - may be required at times.
