The Financial Sales Manager III will assist in achieving Area deposit growth and profitability goals by effectively implementing the Areas marketing and business development deposit plan.The incumbent focuses on the acquisition of new deposit relationships, business services (such as business Visa card, merchant card, business online banking) and cash management products. The primary customer focus is non borrowing business clients within the defined geographic Area.The incumbent assists in the creation of the Areas marketing and business development plan for deposits.This position is a high customer contact position.
Responsibilities
- Meet assigned production goals. - Actively sell the Banks business products and services in a professional manner through an established number of prearranged, well planned outside sales calls on a weekly basis with follow up as needed to gain and optimize the business relationship. - Primary focus is on new, non borrowing business relationships. - Refer potential loan clients as necessary to business partners. - Provide information to customers concerning deposit products; collect appropriate data. - Answer questions and resolve problems for customers concerning all services provided by the Bank; identify the problem, collect data, secure answers and report results to the inquiring party and work with other branch teammates or other bank associates as necessary; and practice the Sundown Rule (i.e. return calls, respond to the customer within the day, etc.) when possible. - Market the Bank's services via outside sales calls, telephone, and correspondence in a professional, sales oriented manner. - Maintain an active prospect list for telemarketing and for outside sales calls to meet established goals. - Utilize relationships with local civic/volunteer organization(s) to identify potential deposit prospects. - Also maintain pipeline and portfolio reports, which identify clients the Incumbent is chasing, and clients acquired. - Ensure compliance with federal regulations on all deposit product documentation. - Keep current on product knowledge, competition and compliance issues related to deposit products. - Maintain a positive working relationship with bank associates to ensure continued generation of customer referrals; follow up on referrals in a timely manner; and provide feedback on all referrals. - May serve as a backup for the Cash Management Sales Rep, if needed. - Actively participate in branch selling programs and sales meetings, making monthly sales presentations as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
**Basic Qualifications:** - Bachelor degree with a minimum of 4 years experience in a sales, customer service role and/or in a lending role to include a minimum of 1 year lead or supervisory experience. -Or- - High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 8 years experience in a sales, customer service role and/or in a lending role to include a minimum of 1 year lead or supervisory experience. **Additional Requirements:** - Must complete federal registration and annual renewal as required by the SAFE Act. - Must possess a valid driver's license. Position requires frequent driving to other offices, bank customers, etc. Bank car not provided. - Possess strong sales skills (i.e., establish commonalities, rapport, trust) and sales techniques (i.e., presentation, diffuse objections and ability to close) and deliver with a high degree of professionalism. - Extensive inmarket experience with clients and referral resources/contacts (community boards/organizations, chambers, networking groups, city management, CPAs, etc.). **Other Preferred Qualifications:** - Considerable knowledge of financial products, such as business DDA accounts, business online banking, merchant card, business Visa, business payroll, and all cash management type products (i.e., lockbox, cash concentration, ACH products).
