Summary
The IAG Relationship Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of Fidelity’s international assignments programs, providing direction to primary vendors (relocation and tax) and collaborating with international business partners to deliver a high level of client service. Additionally, this particular position will be required to assist with the day to day operations of the IAG program in both the Americas and EMEA regions to ensure the program is compliant with respect to tax and reporting requirements for assignees in both their home and host locations.
Responsibilities
* Manage International Assignment Programs: this role is responsible for the day-to-day service delivery associated with the IAG program, which includes but is not limited to the following activities: * Educating Business Unit HR on Fidelity’s IAG program and policy intent. * Serving as the primary contact for assignee and Business Unit HR during the decision-making phase, answering questions regarding assignment related costs, policies and processes. * Serving as the point of escalation for all assignee concerns or requests for exceptions. * Serving as approval point with the vendor for items such as letters of assignment, compensation worksheets and minor exceptions to policy or process. * Coordinating with the Business to obtain the necessary approvals on exceptions, including consulting on recommendations, alternative solutions, cost and impact. * IAG Operations: this role is the primary contact with vendors to ensure Fidelity is tax-compliant in both the home and host countries in the Americas and EMEA, which includes but is not limited to the following activities: * Liaising with the third party tax provider to ensure complete compliance with tax filings for all assignees into and out of the Americas and EMEA, assisting with the generation of the authorization list, oversight of the global compliance processes, assisting with compensation information as required, answering questions from the vendors and the assignees, arranging for tax payments with the third party outsourced vendor. * Overseeing the tax equalization collection process for all non-India based assignees, assisting the third party vendor with the reporting, tracking, payment and collection processes. * Auditing the collection of the US tax refunds received by assignees working in the US to ensure timely collection and reporting of these monies. * Serving point on tax issues for moves within the Americas and EMEA regions, including assignment structuring and planning (working with the relevant assignment managers and Corporate Tax). * Reviewing new tax legislation to determine impact for the Americas and EMEA and working through required actions. * Setting up reporting processes correctly in new countries. * Overseeing the year-end process by coordinating multiple interdependent deliverables with international assignment administrator vendor, tax provider, Payroll, and foreign offices to ensure timely and accurate reporting .t * Provide Business Analyst Support for the IAG program – this role is responsible for proactive identification of policy and process issues, reporting opportunities and relationship improvements to ensure the IAG program is as effective and efficient as possible, which includes: * Considering Business and Assignee feedback along with exception tracking to monitor the effectiveness of existing policies/practices and suggest improvements * Creating program documentation, reporting suggestions, and process mapping as needed
Ideal Candidate
**Education and Experience** * Bachelors or equivalent with 3-5 years of experience in international assignment administration * 2-3 years of experience related to expatriate tax and payroll compliance * Strong critical thinking, quantitative and analytical ability * Proven customer service skills, including experience in delivering unwelcome information * Excellent communication skills, both written and oral * Global compensation experience required * Comprehensive project management experience, including risk management and time management * Technological adaptability, able to learn quickly and master systems * Problem identification, research and resolution capabilities **Skills and Knowledge** * Strong interpersonal and presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to do root cause analysis * Strong customer service skills, demonstrating a positive attitude with a strong work ethic * Ability to be flexible and work cross functionally * Demonstrated knowledge of business process in order to effectively drive solutions * Collaboration, negotiating and influencing skills. * Consulting skills * Solid organization skills and attention to details * Deep knowledge of Microsoft suite of tools - MS Access, Excel and Word expertise are required
