The Product Manager will work closely with the Director of Product Marketing and the Director of Product Management. The Product Managers responsible for product management activities for Power Protection/Electronic Enclosures/Industrial Automation product lines.
- Manage new product development activities using the Product Roadmap to optimize product launches.
- Actively participate in developing industry specifications.
- Provide technical support and ensure the products have the required technical approvals.
- Communicate customer requirements and needs for new product developments to design engineering and prioritize all new product development activities to maximize sales growth.
- Lead cross-functional teams consisting of various operational units to determine critical inputs for the calculation of product manufacturing costs and required capital investments.
- Proactively generate innovative and creative solutions to improve margins.
- Calculate return on investments (ROI) for new product developments and author business cases for justification on the capital expenditures required for new product developments.
- Determine new product pricing via the combination of investigative work into market level pricing and optimizing corporate profit margin targets.
- Key contributor to product and market deliverables required for effective product launches and market branding.
- Fully manage the product life-cycle of the existing HellermannTyton protection products to determine future market opportunity, potential for modifications, or obsolescence.
- Develop and deliver product training to internal teams and customers.
- Manage product line price lists
- Qualifications (skills, knowledge, experience)
- Four year Marketing, Business, or Engineering degree required
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in related marketing, sales, or engineering field
- o 5+ preferred years of experience preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Subject matter experience with regards to fiber optics
- Experience sourcing products from other manufacturers preferred.
- Experience initiating and managing projects
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Domestic travel required.
