Summary
The product manager for Dolby Video Products is responsible for the definition, development, management, sustaining and execution of the Dolby collaboration endpoints portfolio. This candidate will work closely with customers and engineering to define the product requirements for . The Product Manager for Dolby Voice Video Endpoints is responsible to work with a cross-functional product development team to perform day-to-day product management tasks such as product features and enhancements; clarifying the product requirements and customer need; prioritizing bug fixes, and scheduling product updates or updating the individual product roadmap. The candidate will be responsible for a wide range of activities such as defining use cases for video collaboration, product requirements, and competitive advantage.
Responsibilities
* Lead the product definition phase: use cases, target experiences, success metrics, etc. * Create detailed product requirements documents (PRD). Ensure this document meets the market need, captures customer usage and use cases, and can be converted to engineering specifications. * Act as a subject matter expert in the features and usage of your products; stay current with industry technology trends, technical developments and maintain awareness of market and customer trends. Use this knowledge to generate new features for existing products and products under development. * Be a point-of-contact and work cross-functionally with both internal and external customers. * Understand competitive products and manage Dolby products to exceed them. Study, map and respond to competitive analysis. * Assist in managing the beta and pilot programs of early-stage products and samples by work closely with Sales and Engineering teams. * Be a consultant and spokesperson for Product Marketing, Corporate Marketing and Sales as required, with detailed product information,product training, product meetings with customers, eco-system partners and prospects, customer support, industry presentations, analyst questions, and information to assist with the go-to-market and ongoing support of the product in the field. * Working with account owners, meet with customers, partners and other 3rd parties with a product focus. Leverage customer relationships to learn about customer requirements and expectations first hand.
Ideal Candidate
**Basic Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree required in marketing, technical, or related fields. * Minimum of 5 years of relevant * Hands-on experience in product/project management, especially in various types of project management methodologies (agile, waterfall, hybrid, etc.) * Track record of managing multiple successful complex technology products and systems. * Proven experience in managing across the complete whole product lifecycle, from initial concept to end-of-life. * Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-technology environment. * Strong, oral, and written, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills; excellent team member, having a strong public presence with the talent to present. * Strong problem solving and analytical skills. * Experience with mobile handset and headset products highly desirable. * Knowledge of conferencing industry ecosystem, relevant products, technologies and customers. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams, both functionally and geographically. * Organizational savvy to understand how to get things done in a matrix organization; proven ability to work hands-on and execute many things at once. * Ability to travel domestically and overseas. International travel and work experience desirable. **Desired Skills and Experience** * 5+ years’ experience managing real-time VoIP and/or video/telepresence products – consumer electronics industries may also be applicable. * Broad range of technical understanding of unified communications technology components and concepts (SIP, PBX features, voice and video codecs, signaling, networking, etc.) * Dolby will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of San Francisco Police - Code, Article 49, and Administrative Code, Article 12
