Summary
Position Responsibilities We are looking for an energetic Product Marketing Manager to join Ellucian’s growing marketing team. This role will help drive the marketing strategy, positioning and messaging for a subset of the company’s software and services offerings. Reporting directly to a Product Marketing Director, this person will work with counterparts across product management, sales, and business development to launch new products and develop sales enablement material to support sales objectives. This ideal candidate will have product marketing experience working in a software company.
Responsibilities
* Developing product messaging for 3-4 key products within the Ellucian portfolio to be used across all marketing channels – web channels, sales channels, marketing assets, etc. * Identifying the set of assets needed to support the product and portfolio strategy, e.g., website copy, case studies, infographics, videos, product demos, presentations, white papers, data sheets, etc. in order to support the market strategy for the products that you support * Identifying external channels for proliferation of product messaging like journals, websites, professional events, social channels, etc. * Reporting directly to a Product Marketing Director, work with them to develop the annual and quarterly marketing plans designed to raise awareness, establish our reputation as a thought leader, and to drive leads and sales (multi-channel lead generation campaigns). * Helping to define the content marketing and campaign strategies, and working with other parts of marketing organization to ensure they are executed. * Partnering closely with the sales team to develop compelling sales enablement tools. * Enabling our channel partners by providing marketing assets and enablement content to support their sales strategy. Help rollout a new partner portal to provide access to enablement content and collateral.
Ideal Candidate
* 2+ years of experience in product marketing within the software / technology industry. Must be a strategic thinker and be business savvy. * Bachelors. Marketing, journalism, or communications preferred * Experience working in partnership with sales * Demonstrated outstanding communication, writing, and presentation skills * Effectively work independently as well as in a team environment * Manage projects and work under tight deadlines
