Summary
CSL Behring is looking for an Editorial Manager to lead and execute its corporate communications content and social media creation and optimization initiatives. In this new and transformational role, you will collaborate with Communications colleagues to help drive the strategic use of content --- helping us expand our engagement with stakeholders and build the CSL Behring brand around the world. As we grow a world-class Communications function, we are looking for a dynamic writer and editor whose passion for content and social media engagement drives them to develop compelling communications that impact a diverse, global audience base. Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining a content HUB, and writing and editing compelling external, internal and social media content for the CSL group of companies (CSL, CSL Behring and Seqirus). - Collaborate with Senior Communications Leadership, Global Communicators and Product Marketing Teams to identify and schedule strategic communication activities. - Consult with internal stakeholders to create content strategies and develop, curate and deliver relevant content across channels, including management of social media platforms. - Coordinate with contributing writers to manage company tone and voice. Collaborate with designers to bring ideas to life through visuals. - Coordinate with internal stakeholders to develop and deliver compelling content assets that communicate key messages. Target audiences across multiple channels and multiple formats; social media, Web, infographics, photography, imagery. - Manage day-to-day development, curation and workflow of content to support awareness of the CSL brand and reputation, while ensuring messaging is on-target and consistent with our brand, strategy and purpose. - Identify content tools and workflows to effectively coordinate global communications efforts and enable the curation of content. Implementing the tools and processes required. - Establish content standards across channels, and manage an editorial calendar to curate and leverage content being developed across the company. - Monitor media coverage and social conversations, to understand corporate brand reputation and help determine audience’s needs and interests, supporting future content development. - Collaborate with analytics and search marketing colleagues to test and evaluate the effectiveness and success of content formats and distribution channels, measuring and optimizing results against desired outcomes and KPI’s. Provide activity reporting including recommendations, and share with management.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, marketing or related field. - 10+ years of experience writing compelling content and adapting it to serve multiple audiences. - +3 years of demonstrated social media engagement experience and/or brand presence development. - Proficient storytelling, writing and editing skills. - Strong ability to collaborate and build partnerships with various levels across a global organization; excellent interpersonal, relationship, and listening skills. - Enthusiasm and drive required to develop a new position that will have direct impact on the organization. - Ability to work independently or as part of a dynamic team. - Strong conceptual and strategic thinker with the ability to understand the "big picture" of a project, how it fits with overall business objectives and the end-user experience. - Ability to curate content and develop new subject ideas and content concepts that draw an audience, recruiting content contributors and providing editorial support, to help them publish great content on time. - Skilled at presenting and selling creative concepts to influence stakeholders. - Experience developing communications that are delivered to senior leaders. - Strong ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, use tools/platforms to organize and distribute content, projects and workflows, and deliver excellent results under deadlines. - Familiarity with Digital Marketing basics including SEO and SEM. - Solid understanding of marketing technology and experience collaborating with IT partners. - Excellent Microsoft Office skills. - Experience in a science, technology-related or regulated industry a plus - Project Management expertise is required, PMP certification a plus. - Experience working with international partners a plus. - Experience with content management systems and HTML a plus.
