Summary
As a UX/UI Quality Assurance Specialist you will contribute to the documentation, functionality, optimization, and overall quality assurance of all user-facing aspects of our clients’ applications. Most of your time will be spent ensuring that our clients’ sites display as designed, run without bugs, and are regularly tested across all our target platforms. You’ll work with engineers to understand our application structure and anticipate what user-facing areas our deployments interact with and develop testing plans to ensure everything works as specified. You’ll document our applications and make recommendations for areas that can be addressed via automated testing, and if you can write those automated tests using industry-standard tools that’s a big plus. Manual testing will be a big part of what you do too we’ll expect you to be the expert on what the user sees and the person who catches user-facing problems that our automated testing misses, no matter how obscure. You will also work with our clients’ customer service teams to replicate and report issues and pass them onto the development team and confirm fixes before and after they are deployed.

Ideal Candidate
* Every job description says you need to be detail-oriented, but this is one job where you really do. You’ll need to take an obsessive pleasure in being the person who knows even the darkest corners of our growing applications. * A BA/BS, or equivalent work experience in behavioral science, human-computer interaction, computer science, or other related field - MA/MS degree preferred. * Experience with web applications and browsers * Competence in software testing methodology * Experience with the software lifecycle * Experience with issue/bug/defect tracking tools * Experience in written requirements and use cases * Experience with issue/defect tracking and change management tools. * Ability to work effectively in an agile development environment. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * See above regarding “detail oriented.”
