Summary
This position supports a few hundred employees in a variety of organizations at our corporate headquarters in Englewood, CO. The role will partner with the various business units to provide HR knowledge and expertise in a broad range of business situations. Working knowledge of a full spectrum of HR functions (including employment policies and practices, employee relations, compliance, training, compensation and benefits) is required to be successful.
Responsibilities
* Establish excellent relationships with a wide range of employees, from front line individual contributors to executive leaders. Works with all levels on a frequent basis * Provide guidance and advice on talent management, organization effectiveness, and employee engagement * Partner with business units to ensure seamless execution of HR-led processes including performance management, year-end compensation, and other business-specific strategic HR initiatives * Build strong partnerships with client groups to foster trust and accountability, ensuring that HR needs are met in a timely manner and with the highest level of customer service * Maintain a working knowledge of DISH policies and procedures and be able to effectively provide feedback and coaching in their application, resolving issues and effectively managing conflict * Identify key HR issues within the departments you support, and present recommendations and alternatives to increase effectiveness and engagement * Perform ad hoc requests and assist with special projects and other initiatives as needed (e.g. new hire orientation, recognition programs, etc.)
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s Degree with at least five years of HR generalist experience, or an Associate’s Degree with at least seven years of relevant experience * Solid written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation/facilitation skills and influencing skills * Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with an ability to identify problems, collect data, and make strong recommendations * Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization * Flexible, innovative, and able to work effectively in a high volume, fast-paced environment * Excellent organizational skills with an ability to manage competing priorities
