Responsibilities
Responsibilities: - Drive the success of Discovery Education Business Systems by leading the design and implementation of solutions on Salesforce.com to support existing business processes and identifying any gaps in processes and systems. 2. Improve Salesforce.com release quality through the application of best practices and participation in the creation and maintenance of the solution architecture. 3. Ensure that the design and delivery of solutions best meet stakeholder and user needs by providing iterative improvement while maintaining perspective on the longer term system development needs. 4. Drive improvements in the overall quality of the Business Systems platform. 5. Support the evolution of the Business Systems team through leadership, collaboration and mentoring across functional areas. 6. Support the creation of the Business Systems implementation roadmap for the Division including requirements gathering, specification development, and implementation oversight of all development and integration efforts needed between the various systems. 7. Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes, and then work with designers and developers to implement these features. Bring a detailed eye for user experience and design to ensure features drive high adoption and user enthusiasm. 8. Facilitate communication throughout the development process between internal teams, business users, management and customer-facing teams, ensuring that products satisfy business process needs and are highly adopted. 9. Serve as a product evangelist with business users to help them understand the vision, roadmap and best practices. 10. Interact with business partners to get product feedback and identify additional opportunities. 11. Fully understand the company’s current CRM implementations as well as custom internal software and apply that knowledge to the design of future solutions. 12. For each development effort, identify the optimal means to meet user and stakeholder needs and create the designs, models & specifications for implementing salesforce.com. 13. Maintain ongoing knowledge of 3rd party solutions which can provide effective solutions to identified needs. 14. Mapping the integration and synchronization efforts needed between our salesforce.com implementation and internal systems. 15. Develop useful and appropriate training materials for company employees that address the most important and relevant aspects of the system including both custom and OOB functionality. 16. Ensure that effective testing, rollout, and training procedures are successfully implemented during the implementation process.
Ideal Candidate
Requirements: - BA degree or equivalent work/technical experience. * 10+ years of Salesforce.com experience in a lead Administrator role. This includes experience in managing all aspects of project lifecycle from concept & design through post-launch support. * Salesforce.com Administrator Certification a plus * Expertise in both written and interpersonal communication, in relationship building, and in collaboration in a cross-functional team comprised of diverse personalities, skill sets and levels of experience. * Experience with building products from the ground up, and knowing how to adapt process needs as a project and process matures, is highly desirable. * Compulsively organized and driven to bring order out of uncertainty. Attention to detail is a must. * Experience in operational and/ or financial systems development a plus. * Aggressive obstacle tackler. Must be able to proactively see project obstacles and work actively with the team to remove them. * Comfortable in a fast paced, energetic environment. * The desire to be part of a energetic and growing team focused on developing high quality business systems solutions. * Enthusiasm and passion for keeping pace with emerging technology trends. * Strong understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality, along with the experience of working with external vendors and internal business partners to configure or develop SFDC based technology solutions for business needs. * Must have the legal right to work in the United States
