Responsibilities
**Responsibilities** - Manage and develop small (3-6) team of designers (UX and visual). This includes setting goals, allocating resources, managing project loads, ensuring project milestones are met and setting up all team members for success. - Recruit new designers and actively participate in the hiring process - Facilitate the design process to ensure best practices on cross-functional teams and remove all barriers to doing great work - Ensure that every designer on the team is creating work of the highest quality, and most importantly, that they are creating work they are proud of - Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, engineering and the rest of organization to ensure a productive product development process - Individually contribute as a designer for at least one product milestone per quarter
Ideal Candidate
**Qualifications** - 5+ years of experience in product/web/interaction design; corporate experience preferred in addition to agency or other experience. - 2+ years management or leadership role on a design team - Strong design portfolio with examples of well thought out interactions and clear visuals across web applications - Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to context-switch This position reports to the CTO.
