Summary
Delphic Digital is looking for an energetic and forward-thinking Senior Front End Developer / Team Lead with deep technical expertise to join us as we grow. In this role you’ll join a team of passionate Front End Developers and work along side back-end engineers to integrate code into a beautiful web experience for our clients. You’ll collaborate with our internal teams to design, develop, test, and troubleshoot advanced data-driven web applications using HTML5/JavaScript/CSS3. You'll share your passion and expertise with our growing FED team, helping our junior developers elevate their skills and integrating the latest technologies for continued advancement.
Responsibilities
* Build modern, interactive websites using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and UI frameworks (including, but not limited to Angular, ReactJS, etc). * Provide Front End technical guidance across functions (i.e. the feasibility of a new feature to our UX team, or an estimate of how long a feature would take to implement to a PM). * Fully test and troubleshoot work, ensuring consistently error free, high quality results. * Interact with clients and internal stakeholders in an accessible and professional manner. * Calmly and professionally handle last minute changes and delays (they happen!). * Stay current on the latest technologies and inspire your team to do the same. * Accurately estimate level of effort and timeline for personal and group projects. * Mentor junior team members, ensuring that code standards and deadlines are consistently met.
Ideal Candidate
* BA or BS in Computer Science or related degree preferred. * 5+ years of website development experience, and at least 2 years in an agency environment. * Expert-level JavaScript programming (you have to be a wiz with frameworks like jQuery, Angular, React, Node, etc). * Understanding of OOP. * Excellent HTML5 / CSS3 skills. * Working knowledge of Sass (or other CSS preprocessors). * Firm grasp of JSON and asynchronous requests. * Basic understanding of build tools like Grunt or Gulp. * Familiarity with browser testing and debugging. * A firm grasp of SEO / SEM best practices. * Ability to create accessible (ADA compliant) interfaces. * Experience writing unit tests for JavaScript code. * Expertise in performance optimization using tools such PageSpeed. * Strong attention to detail and consistency. * Love of logic and problem solving!
