Responsibilities
* The Beverage Mananger is responsible for daily operation of all beverage outlets and function. Responsible for meeting all Beverage service standards with all guests served in all outlets. Other specific duties include: * Hands on management of day to day operations of Beverage function. Implements and enforces all departmental and organizational policies and procedures. Assures staff compliance with all GuestPath standards, policies and procedures. Work with the Human Resources Department when handling union issues. * Managing Beverage Associates utilizing Supervisors through planning and scheduling of work assignments and performance development. Administers Corrective Counseling process, training and development, appraisals, payroll accountability. * Beverage Manager will regularly review bar operations, including special-event setups, prices and hours. Will also prepare staff schedules, communicates with employees, and ensures the bar is adequately staffed at all times. Beverage Manager will interview job applicants, conduct regular performance reviews, and train all staff who work at the bars including Bar Supervisors, bartenders, waiters, waitresses, cocktail servers and bar backs. * Oversees Beverage Inventory management to assure all outlets are adequately supplied at all times. Performs periodic inventory. Requisitioning and Purchasing. Maintains effective vendor relationships. The Beverage Manager reviews the inventory, manages the money and staff, buys supplies and ensures that the bar meets legislative directives. Beverage Manager must also establish a physical presence at the bar and make adjustments to ensure customer service is consistently high * Assures compliance with all alcohol laws and regulations. The Beverage Manager must know local, state and federal regulations for the sale and distribution of alcohol.
Ideal Candidate
* Degree in Hospitality preferred or equivalent experience * Minimum 3- 5 years Beverage Management in a casino or hospitality or bar/lounge environment * Minimum 3-5 years Inventory Management * Ability to run frequent events and promotions to drive additional sales. * Must have experience working with vendors. * Must be able to interact effectively with peers and superiors. * Intermediate computer skills including email, word processing, spreadsheets, database and record keeping. * Proficient math skills * Superior written and oral communication skills and the ability to lead in a results oriented, fast paced environment required.
