Summary
Responsible for bringing all the resources of supplier(s) and Daymon Worldwide to bear to drive sales and profitability for strategic suppliers. This job is responsible for the on-going management, leading and reporting of current business objectives of Daymon Worldwide on behalf of supplier(s). This role will also identify and lead the pursuit of opportunities for the supplier across the total Daymon customer base and potentially beyond Daymon’s current retailer base. The individual will leverage cross functional resources of Daymon’s corporate and field teams to ensure a consistent and focused approach to driving the achievement of supplier business objectives and championing the supplier(s) brand(s) within the Daymon organization, our joint retailer clients, and beyond.
Responsibilities
* Serve as comprehensive Daymon point of contact for assigned suppliers * Work with supplier sales management team to ensure clear and consistent communication of key business objectives to the Daymon customer team leads and business managers. * Provide monthly updates to key supplier management personnel to communicate: top line business trends, progress on key initiatives, business risks and actions to address, relevant industry insight (trends, opportunities, branded movement, etc). * Effectively leverage the suite of Daymon consumer insights and analytical tools to support and achieve identified supplier strategic and category-specific business objectives * Assist in analyzing supplier business performance at key Daymon customers and identifying opportunities to drive the business and minimize risks * Organize and chair regular business review meetings with key suppliers and Daymon management * Ensure supplier road maps are in place and actively managed to drive business performance * Manage the communication and ongoing tracking of identified KPI’s for supplier and Daymon management * Attend supplier sales and marketing meetings as appropriate to ensure clear communication of strategic priorities and action plans throughout the Daymon organization. * Maximize the value of Daymon Worldwide that is received by supplier through Daymon resources and manage a scorecard of KPI with supplier and Daymon executive teams. * Ensure supplier is educated and understands all aspects of Daymon Worldwide’s value proposition allowing them to engage more frequently as needed – outlining what is available as fee for service above traditional brokerage service * Manage, negotiate, and execute master supplier agreements for the company * Develop proposals and sell in incremental Daymon services to key supplier partners
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has a balance of experience in effective business management, customer sales skills, analytical skills required to drive fact-based decision-making and leadership skills that help them engage and navigate a cross-functional sales team which capitalizes on identified opportunities. * Bachelor’s Degree with combined Sales and Marketing experience * Possess a minimum of 6-7 years direct sales and/or marketing management experience in CPG industry in a leadership position * Excellent knowledge of retailer and/or supplier operations * Strong strategic sales agility * Experience working with cross functional teams * Ability to articulate an insights-based point of view in order to influence cross-functional team members to drive results * Strong oral and written communication skills and ease of interaction with Sr. Management levels * Ability to manage multiple projects while delivering value-added results on time * Working knowledge of syndicated research tools – (i.e. IRI/Nielsen, Spectra, Household Panel and other providers) * Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
