Summary
The Sr. Analyst, Risk supports the Director, Corporate Risk in the day-to-day administration of Company’s global insurance programs, interacting directly with brokers, service providers and business teams. Primary responsibility for data analytics and report generation on losses and claim trends for use in quarterly forecasting, accrual accounting, and operational claim performance reports. The position also manages and resolves assigned workers compensation and general liability claims. This position supports all business units of Daymon Worldwide.
Responsibilities
* Performs tasks required for insurance renewals, including gathering exposure data from business units and compiling for submission to insurance brokers and underwriters for all lines of insurance (domestic and foreign property/casualty; financial and professional liability) * Administers insurance program including: reviewing and processing premium and fee payments; certificates of insurance; maintaining policy files; reporting to State agencies as required; arranging auto liability coverage for special situations. * Calculates renewal premium allocations by business unit using exposure and premium data. * Maintains schedule of insured property locations and notify brokers of midterm additions and deletions. * Serves a back-up to Director and Risk Manager to review and advise business units on insurance requirements in contracts. * Maintains accurate and current codes for location organization charts in Third Party Administrator (TPA) claim systems and advise TPA of additions and deletions. * Using TPA data systems and Excel, produce reports and analyses of claim activity and trends in order to assist in development of recommendations for corrective action with Safety, Risk Management, HR and Operations. * Primary responsibility for developing and maintaining models, data and reports for use in updating monthly and quarterly claim forecasts, accrual accounting, claim development and trending. This position will collaborate with Financial Services and Actuary to support appropriate and timely accrual allocation to alleviate volatility in IBNR adjustments. * Identifies opportunities to improve performance and efficiencies in existing systems. * Collaborates to develop and manage TPAs in strategic claim action plans to resolve assigned general liability and worker’s compensation claims. Ensure proper forms and other documentation provided to TPA as required. * Ongoing review of reserves for assigned claims for adequacy. * Communicates with management and human resource staff on claim procedures and other issues related to claim administration. * Identifies issues and concerns that require escalation to the Director, Corporate Risk. * Collaborates as requested in the development, administration, and communication of safety initiative and recognition programs * Performs other duties as required and assigned
Ideal Candidate
**Work Experience/Education Required:** * Must have 5-7 years’ experience in a corporate risk management department or equivalent experience with an insurance broker. * Broad working knowledge of property, casualty, multinational insurance programs and claim trend analysis. * Excellent spreadsheet skills required, for example including use of pivot tables, importing data into spreadsheets and working with large data sets. * Ability to research, identify and formulate analysis of data trends. * Ability to manage resolution of basic general liability and workers compensation claims with TPA, according to Company policy and under the guidance of Claims Risk Managers. * Bachelor of Arts degree or equivalent experience; finance or insurance concentration preferred. **Functional Knowledge and Business Expertise Required:** * Exposure to a networked environment using a Windows and/or Windows-like interface * Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite * Technical acumen or experience to achieve advanced knowledge of Enterprise-wide information systems, TPA claim systems and Excel spreadsheet required.
