Summary
We currently have an opening for a Specialist, Marketing Communication at our Headquarters San Antonio. The Specialist, Marketing Communication will be responsible for the definition and development of compliance standards for corporate wide compliance with all applicable Federal, state and local regulations. Reviews and evaluates compliance issues/concerns within the organization.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement various communications via web, email and print media such as presentation decks, communication plans, integrated marketing campaigns, corporate communication materials, email templates, and search-optimized web content, based on requests and as determined by the overall marketing plan. * Work with members of the Marketing team to fulfill requests from other departments (i.e. Sales, Network Operations, Client Management, etc.) in a timely and collaborative manner, managing requestor expectations and ensuring accuracy of content and messaging that is consistent within brand and style guidelines. * Create strategic project briefs to determine business objective, audience, key communication points, supporting creative elements, concept storyboarding and use of copy, tone, voice and creative point-of-view based on brand attributes. * As necessary, work with external publications and advertising vendors to ensure specifications and deadlines are met. * Maintain a general knowledge of competitor initiatives and optical industry trends, as well as latest technology and best practices in marketing and communications. * Research and recommend communications for awards and recognition, as applicable. * Research and develop visual and written content for use across integrated platforms such as web, email and print media. * Prepare presentations and/or talking points for leadership and Sales/Client Management departments as needed.
Ideal Candidate
**Education:** * Preferred bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related field or equivalent combination of experience and education **Experience & Background:** * One to three (3) years of experience in a fast-paced (create on demand) corporate environment creating marketing collateral, promotinoal materials or content-driven marketing * One to three (3) years of experience in optical and/or health care preferred * Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office required (Excel, Word, Outlook) * Knowledge and understanding of Adobe products including Acrobat and Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Premiere) * General understanding of AP style of writing * Experience with print production and proof process * Strong written/verbal communication skills and the ability to think critically and creatively required * Basic understanding of HTML coding preferred **Language Skills:** * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. * Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. * Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or Associates of the organization. **Mathematical Skills:** * General mathematical skills to include basic adding, subtracting, multiplication and division. **Reasoning Ability** * Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. * Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. * Exhibit sound and accurate judgment and demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness. **Physical Demands/Work Environment:** * The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
