Summary
We currently have an opening for a Manager, Billing and Enrollment at our Latham NY Location. The Manager, Billing and Enrollment will be responsible for the definition and development of compliance standards for corporate wide compliance with all applicable Federal, state and local regulations. Reviews and evaluates compliance issues/concerns within the organization. Responsible for the management oversight, service delivery and reconciliation of all activities encompassed within the Enrollment and Billing department, including electronic and manual enrollment processing as well as client billing. The Manager of Enrollment and Billing will also directly support the implementation of new clients relative to enrollment/billing and reporting requirement definition.
Responsibilities
* Establish and successfully communicate Enrollment / Membership and Billing department goals and objectives together with individual goals and expectations; perform associate evaluations and provide coaching as appropriate * Implement processes to ensure timely receipt, conversion, storage, transmission and customer receipt of agreed upon membership data, information and other materials * Ensure timely and accurate system billing configuration and generations of bills for all new and renewed groups. * Ensure that the volume of member and provider checks correlate to the numbers produced on corresponding reports. * Establish, monitor and report on metrics to document the quality, quantity, timeliness and accuracy of departmental tasks, workloads and outcomes to ensure customer expectations are met for both internal and external customers * Create and document a framework for supported departments to achieve and maintain SSAE 16, ISO and other external certifications * Ensure that new and existing clients enrollment and other reportable data are accurate and processed in accordance with contractual and internal standards; to be properly administered by Davis Vision’s systems, including client contact and internal coordination as required to be successful * Perform ad hoc reporting and data analysis to fulfill internal and external requests; to identify trending; perform encounter and data reconciliations identifying out of balance conditions and root causes * Establish and test connectivity for file transfer methodology of client electronic files sent and received * Coordinate and collaborate with other departments of the company in establishing and carrying out responsibilities. * Provide access to training for responsible teams and ensure that the authority and responsibilities for each position is defined and understood. * Develop and implement education and training programs, maintain effective communication within area of responsibility and keep staff informed as to company/department plans and progress. * Conform with and abide by all federal, state, and local regulations, company policies and procedures, and instructions. * Adhere to privacy and confidential and proprietary company policies and procedures (i.e. HIPAA).
Ideal Candidate
**Education:** * Preferred bachelor's degree in IT, business or related field or equivalent combination or experience and education **Experience & Background:** * Three (3) plus years managerial experience, including demonstrated experience in managing teams, setting goals/expectations, managing to timeline driven outcomes, and implementation of sustainable strategic solutions * Three (3) plus years of experience in the management of membership/EDI enrollment transactions,and billing data processing * Thorough knowledge of health care insurance as might be shown by three to five years in an insurance company * Direct client interface experience * Sound administrative skills. Developed management skills – principles and people * Proven ability to identify and resolve potential challenges through analytical and logical means and effectively communicate recommendations for resolution **Language Skills:** * Excellent PC skills * Excellent communications skills * Ability to read and interpret detailed reports and evaluate and document business requirements * Strong knowledge of membership, EDI enrollment and billing workflows and processes * Excellent organizational and delegation skills * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team **Mathematical Skills:** * Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. * Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. **Reasoning Ability** * Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. * Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. **Physical Demands/Work Environment:** * The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
