Summary
Supervises Analysts and support staff responsible for implementation, support, and maintenance of any of a variety of integrated enterprise systems which may include Epic and/or the corporate ERP system. Selects and develops the staff within his/her respective team in addition to providing the oversight and direction for the daily operational activities that occur within the unit. The Supervisor will be accountable for understanding corporate administrative and clinical initiatives so that the team is appropriately staffed and work is aligned to support key goals and deliverables. Analyzes operational workload on staff, and recommends improvements in staffing models or adjustments in workload to maintain an optimal balance between workload and capacity. Provides direction and training for less experienced IS staff.
Responsibilities
The Supervisor will be responsible to ensure the team responds effectively and timely to inquiries from the wide customer base, which may include patients, providers and administrative staff. The Supervisor will also provide technical expertise, direction and guidance to the team members and directly supervise team resources. Plans, coordinates and supervises support, maintenance, and project activities related to assigned application systems. Monitors and manages application vendor contracts and billing.
Ideal Candidate
- **Education:** Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, Health-related field, or Associate of Arts Degree in Data Processing or completion of Vocational/Technical training for service management with a minimum of two years supervisory or management experience. - **Experience:** Supervisory experience required. Five years’ experience with information systems required. Five years’ experience in customer service - Project management experience preferred. - **Licenses/Certificates/Registration:** Current Washington State driver’s license and proof of automobile liability insurance coverage. - **Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:** Ability to work independently; good communication skills; ability to work with both professional and clerical staff in a positive constructive manner to answer questions and assists in implementing new procedures and corrective action; knowledge of information processing; ability to write procedures and instructions in a clear, logical sequence; ability to logically analyze problems; knowledge of computer systems analysis, knowledge of detailed technical skills; ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; and the ability to work in a team environment with department staff.
