Equity and Accounting Manager

This position will be based in our Santa Clara, CA headquarters and report to the Sr. Director of Tax and Treasury. This position will manage, maintain, and seek continuous improvement to the equity program. In addition to equity related responsibilities, this position will support the Accounting team with technical accounting research and other projects.
Monthly:
- Own and manage stock administration for our employees and investors
- Develop and manage the process around approval and communication of employee equity holdings
- System administrator for the equity system (Shareworks and Certent)
- Reconcile Common Stock and Additional Paid In Capital against GL, create journal entries in Workday as required
- Prepare stock reports for senior management and major investors
- Design and conduct employee training on the company’s equity programs
- Research and respond to HR on the impact of an employee’s equity holdings when relocating to a different country
- Perform recurring accounting tasks, technical accounting research and other ad hoc projects outside of equity and share-based compensation
Quarterly:
- Maintain pending grant list, review and validate data accuracy
- Calculate Rule 701 limitation
- Develop the assumptions (interest rate, FMV, term, forfeiture rate) for the calculation of share based compensation
- Calculate quarterly share based compensation, prepare summary, test and validate system generated expense, prepare and enter JE in Workday, calculate stock option modification outside the equity system.
- Update quarterly footnote disclosure info to include but not limited to Option Rollforward schedule, assumptions table, etc.
- Prepare forecasts of share-based compensation expense and support third party valuations of the Company’s common stock
Annual:
- Prepare year end footnote disclosures related to equity transactions
- At least 4 years of audit experience with emphasis on equity accounting, preferably with a Big 4 CPA firm or 5+ years Stock Administration experience preferably with a publicly traded company
- Detail-oriented and supremely organized
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to practice effective time management and prioritization
- Courage to take initiative, address problems and make continuous process improvements
- Willing to work on a broad variety of accounting and corporate matters
- Commitment to professionalism and personal growth
- CPA and/or CEP designation preferred
- System savvy, familiarity with Shareworks, Certent or other equity system a plus
