Technical Accounting Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join and help grow our top notch Accounting team. The ideal candidate must be able to balance delivering exceptional performance in a fun, energetic and entrepreneurial environment. The Manager, Technical Accounting will be primarily responsible for performing technical accounting research, reviewing the Company’s contracts and transactions, writing accounting position memoranda, creating accounting models and interacting with external auditors, while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.

* Perform as a critical part of the team responsible for all technical accounting research related to complex accounting matters and document the Company’s positions in memoranda * Review contracts to determine appropriate accounting treatment * Assist with the research and implementation of new accounting standards, such as ASC 606 (revenue recognition) and ASC 842 (leases) * Interact with external auditors to support the Company’s accounting positions and facilitate an efficient audit and review process * Support SEC reporting efforts by ensuring adequacy of Form 10-K and 10-Q disclosures * Educate the accounting team and other departments with respect to the impact of adopted accounting policies * Be responsible for special projects and other departmental duties as necessary

**Things That Should Be in Your Background:** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required * Active CPA license required * Experience performing technical accounting research and applying guidance to transactions * Experience writing technical accounting memoranda/position papers * 5 - 8 years of accounting experience required (Big 4/public accounting background preferred) * Experience in service-based industry preferred * Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills * Computer skills and experience using all MS Office applications; strong knowledge of Excel required **Other Attributes That Will Help You in This Role:** * Demonstrate strong organization skills and the capacity to multi-task * Exhibit intuition and awareness to seek clarification as needed to deliver results * Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to research, synthesize information, formulate conclusions and document them in a thorough, yet concise manner * Display enthusiasm and desire to work in a fast-paced, rapid growth environment
