Summary
CES is seeking a talented and driven Sales Director to sell and help grow our operational, scheduling, and settlement services to wholesale market participants, including generation owners and larger load serving entities. This role will be a part of a growing team and will support and work closely with other sales directors and team leaders from each of CES’ service lines. It is a great opportunity for an entrepreneurial individual looking to help develop and grow an operational and software-platform based service business in the deregulated electricity and natural gas space. Additionally, the position calls for up-selling to existing customers.
Responsibilities
* Achieve revenue and margin targets by driving sales of existing and new services to current and new customers. * Manage CES’s 3-stage sales process (prospecting, qualification, negotiation) efficiently and fully document interactions using Salesforce.com * Become fully knowledgeable about CES’s range of services * Gain a thorough understanding of the deregulated electricity and gas markets in order to identify sales prospects and understand business drivers. * Serve as the advocate of the customer and provide input and feedback to CES’s operations and development teams. * Ensure high levels of post-sales customer satisfaction and retention. * Provide input to and support for CES marketing initiatives including events, product launches, e-mail marketing and partner marketing activities.
Ideal Candidate
* Minimum of 5 years direct B-to-B experience selling high-value software platform-based services in energy market or a closely related industry. * Experience in presenting to senior managers at prospect companies is essential. * Experience and/or knowledge of the deregulated wholesale electric markets in the US and Canada. * Knowledge of generation development companies * Bachelor’s degree in technical field and sales certifications is a plus. * Consistent record of success in exceeding sales targets while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and integrity. * Proficiency in software applications including Excel, Word, Outlook and Salesforce.com (or comparable CRM application). * Ability to travel 25-30% - primarily within the mid-Atlantic and northeast US.
