Summary
Performs highly interpretive financial analysis for FP&A team, specifically for Sales, General, and Administrative (SG&A) accounts . Presents analysis and recommendations to management. Acts as a leader to less experienced staff. Effectively leads small teams and works well with small ad-hoc project teams.
Responsibilities
- Partners with business leaders to provide recommendations that ensure sound financial decisions are being made for the organization. Supports the financial planning, forecasting and reporting process for our SG&A expenses. - Monthly financial presentation of expense and capital results and forecast to VP teams for SG&A expenses. - Supports investment request preparation and review including ROI analysis, spend control and post audit analysis - Provide financial guidance and leadership to business partners and management. - Process and reporting simplification.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field - MBA/CPA/CMA preferred, not required - 5 years financial work experience - Experience with financial modeling - Leverage technical financial expertise to analyze and assimilate data into business recommendations - “Go to” person for the area supported – Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Implements continuous process improvements - Develops trust and credibility across the organization - Leads multiple projects that require cross-functional collaboration - Ability & courage to challenge assumptions & status quo - Operates with a high degree of self-initiative and produces significant results - Communicate & provide insight to influence business partners - Develops and applies change management skills - Builds a strong internal network of relationships - Understanding and effectively communicates to audience - Ability to get to the ”so what” and influence decisions - Proactively identifies opportunities and solutions to business issues - Strategic view of the business/function (analytics to drive change, long-term view) - Proven understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and how it - Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
