Summary
The Sundial Beach Resort and Spa has a full time opportunity available for a friendly, welcoming, and outgoing Part Time Host/Hostess to join the dynamic Food & Beverage team at our gorgeous Sanibel Island location. The Host/Hostess greets guests as they arrive and set the tone for their experience when entering our F&B operations. They should be greeted with a warm and friendly demeanor. The Host should be knowledgeable of resort operations and suggest menu items when seating guests. They should check with guests from time to time to ensure optimal satisfaction.
Responsibilities
* Maintains a Guest focus while performing duties. * Assumes responsibility for quality guests’ experience. * Welcome and greet guests. * Seating guest in a timely and welcoming manner. * Inform the server about new guests in their section. * Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant and resort functions and services. * Perform side work during each shift as required by service station assignment. * Complete opening and closing side work. * Maintain clean and stocked host desk. * Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and beverage service. * Respond promptly and courteously to any requests. * Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return. * Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement. * Assist servers in any way if needed * Have complete knowledge of all policies, standards and procedures of the department. * Be familiar with resort services, amenities, and outlets. * Maintain cleanliness of work area. * Available for work assignments outside of associate's customary work schedule. This may include evenings, overnight, weekends and holidays. * Adherence to all safety rules and regulations. * Compliance with all resort policies and procedures and described and communicated by management. * Notify management immediately if the guest is not 100% satisfied with their experience.
Ideal Candidate
**Required Skills** * Must be able to understand and write English. * High school diploma or equivalent required. * ServSafe & TIPS certifications highly preferred. **Required Experience** * Previous customer service experience is required. * Previous restaurant Host experience preferred. * ServSafe/TIPS certification preferred.
