Technical Training is a team of training specialists who work consultatively with regional operations management, HR business partners, and senior business leaders. Responsibilities
* Provide technical training to employees at all levels within the CenturyLink Operations or Technology Services organizations. Training may target those responsible for installation, implementation, test, maintenance, and repair to infrastructure and central office or equivalent technology to hardware and software support. Training courses may range from Installation & Repair to simple optical and engineering technologies and systems. * Partner with managers and Global Operations to understand the learning needs from their business areas and engage resources from the team to create solutions. * Facilitate classroom, blended and virtual programs in support of current and evolving technologies. Courses delivered will be based on and could grow based on individual skills and abilities. * Manage learning initiatives around a continuous cycle of needs analysis, design, project management and logistics, delivery, and evaluation. * Assist in the development and upgrade of training labs and structures that support developed curriculum and facilitate learning. * May include coaching employees and supervisors on the job to apply skills gained in the classroom. * Evaluates effectiveness of instruction through both formal and informal evaluation methods and adjusts training approach as needed. This may also include making recommendations regarding modifications to the design of the material being provided. * Maintain a positive learning environment and hold students accountable while being in accordance with union contracts and HR policies.
Ideal Candidate
**Qualifications:** * Excellent facilitation and coaching skills * Strong attention to detail with excellent prioritization skills * Ability and desire to work in a fast paced and constantly changing environment * Collaborate effectively with all levels of management within the training organization and the customers we serve * 6-8 years of progressive professional experience that includes a combination of IPTV, xDSL and GPON installation, repair, and maintenance, instructional expertise, or CCNA certification. * Ability to travel up to 75% **Preferred:** * Coaching experience * College degree or relevant experience providing technical training
