Summary
The Market Access Executive (MAE), is responsible for executing market access business plans for their assigned region of the country. MAE’s work strategically with the Market Access colleagues and peers, the sales forces, and Celgene management.
Responsibilities
* Creates, implements and executes market access plans for a specific geography. Market influencers include but are not limited to Payers, Medicare, Medicaid, PBMs, Regional SP’s, Healthcare Coalitions, Employers, Union, State Government & Advocacy 2. Accountable for becoming partner of choice with: C-suite, pharmacy directors, national/regional medical directors, formulary directors, clinical pharmacists, contract managers, claims processors, case managers, benefit managers and other healthcare professionals. 3. Obtains, maintains and/or improves access for the Celgene portfolio of products with targeted customers within assigned markets, . 4. Maximizes relationships with other healthcare influencers to support product positioning. 5. Identifies strategic opportunities and potential challenges while effectively collaborating cross-functionally within a highly matrixed environment to ensure corporate product objectives are met. 6. Utilizes market place intelligence databases to prospect new business opportunities and stay informed on healthcare business and customer trends. Leverage data to determine the impact to Celgene and incorporate into account/market plans. 7. Develops and leads solution oriented market place & account projects and initiatives. 8. Negotiates and executes contracts with targeted Payers & PBMs.
Ideal Candidate
**Skills/Knowledge Required:** - Proven track record of success in new product and line extension launches. - Demonstrated leadership skills along with the ability to manage internal and external relationships within a highly matrixed environment. - Successful contracting and negotiation experience. - Ability to work within ambiguous autonomous work environment. - Exhibits executive presence, displays emotional intelligence, demonstrates the ability to lead through change and instill confidence in others. - Demonstrates commitment to corporate philosophy and values. **The successful candidate must exhibit strength in the following areas:** - Professionalism and accountability - Flexibility - Negotiation expertise - Entrepreneurial approach to business - Collaborative/teamwork/cross functional partnership - Written and verbal communication skills - Project management and time management - Situational analysis, solution oriented problem solving, judgment and strategic thinking - Client relationship management - Management without authority

Working Conditions

Travel 40-60% (dependent upon base location).
