- Providing electronics laboratory technician support that demonstrates the ability to multitask, provide technical assistance, process instructions, and self-drive projects with proper guidance.
- Supporting development of electronic devices; prototype concepts, wiring harnesses, and misc electronic repair and modifications of custom modules.
- Following detailed instructions of misc electronics tasks, and replicate assembly steps to expected quality standards.
- Understanding techniques of electrical troubleshooting: including review of schematics and electronic component data sheets as required. Gather and compile data for test reports. Create test items, assist in the building of custom testers; involving mechanical box, electrical loads, and connections.
- Vehicle instrumentation installations including: removal, replacement, and modifications of interiors. Custom bracket creation, custom harness builds, custom installs of Bosch products, and ability to return vehicle back to original condition.
- Responsibilities for completing finished project within agreed delivery date. Track and schedule multiple tasks and communicate with team leader in order to resource balance.
- Ability to document and communicate project creations and modifications.
- Associates Degree or 2 years minimum equivalent experience.
- Must be able to use digital volt-meters and oscilloscopes.
- Must be able to crimp and solder electronic wire harnesses and connectors.
- Ability to create concepts for test boxes (mechanical and electrical) with little direction.
- Ability to create computer drawings of mechanical portion of test boxes.
- Ability to manage priorities to support multiple electronic modules per week.
- Self driven, taking initiative to maximize work load while maintaining quality and established processes.
- Ability to oversee work of other associates providing feedback and training as necessary.
- Able to apply continuous improvement of processes to improve productivity and drive cost reduction.
