Accounting Product Manager

The Bloomberg Enterprise Regulatory and Accounting Group is seeking a highly focused and motivated financial markets professional to join its team. The team is responsible for identifying, creating and designing Regulatory, Accounting and Liquidity related solutions using Bloomberg's proprietary analytics and industry-leading database. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a deep understanding of the current accounting landscape, namely International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Financial Accounting Standards Board Guidance, Accounting for financial instruments and associated impairment models to assist in expanding Bloomberg product offering suite. The successful candidate will also contribute to the development of the Regulatory and Accounting Products business strategies.

* Research potential new product offerings with a focus on creating actionable items for development; * Contribute to the definition of the groups business plan, elaborate requirements on development initiatives and coordinate project execution; * Prepare documentation of methodologies and training of internal staff; * Produce appropriate marketing materials for released products; * Maintain regular contact with industry participants, auditors, regulators and clients; * Coordinate Bloomberg accounting focused client seminars and participate to industry conferences and events.

* Bachelor's degree * CPA or equivalent required * Big Four Experience required * Five or more years of experience in a technical accounting role, focused on Accounting analysis, Accounting policy and / or Accounting based advisory services * Deep understanding of Global Accounting Standards and pricing methodologies across a wide variety of asset classes * Experience in Accounting systems or policy implementation projects required * Highly motivated with excellent communication skills * Highly detail-oriented with solid analytic skills * Strong relationships with accounting firms and/or regulators * Capable of fostering relationships with new and existing clients
