Summary
The primary goal of the Sales Development Manager is to manage teams to increase qualified pipeline for the sales organization. This individual will be responsible for building and managing a team of sales development representatives. They and their teams will identify new opportunities for BetterCloud Sales Executives to call on from both incoming leads and outbound efforts. When necessary, SDR team members will perform research and prospecting activities to set qualified phone or web appointments with their sales counterparts. It is expected the Sales Development Manager and their SDR team members understand BetterCloud markets and product at a relatively deep level.
Responsibilities
* Manage, mentor and build out a team of 6-10 Sales Development Representatives * Provide clear metrics around productivity, acquisition, and conversion, and achieve quota on number of monthly qualified meetings and pipeline opportunity value. * Motivate team to exceed learning and performance goals and objectives * Work cross functionally to create processes and campaigns around driving new qualified leads and demos for Sales team * Collect, analyze, report data around team, team members, and operational execution * Generate new, fresh ideas and challenge your team and leadership to expand thinking and innovation * Provide feedback and recommendations on marketing efforts from real world interactions with prospects * Provide training on sales strategy, business acumen, product knowledge, competition, objection handling and market dynamics * Attract and recruit talented people who share our values and are motivated to help drive BetterCloud’s success * Accurately assess the capabilities, motivators, and aspirations of each team member and partner with them to fully develop their potential and future careers
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's Degree * Minimum four years of experience as SDR/BDR or inside sales, preferably in SaaS environment * 2+ years of SDR/ Inside Sales Management experience * Proven track record of success * Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills * Extensive knowledge and experience in high volume, transactional selling environments, methodologies, and best practices * Strong ability and desire to coach, develop, and train team members on selling fundamentals, teamwork and results * Must be intelligent, adaptable, entrepreneurial * Proven ability execute outbound prospecting strategies including: Pre-call planning, opportunity qualification and objection handling, call structure and control, and time and territory management
